Roodeberg 1949
A wine from the Western Cape, medium-bodied wine with a red ruby colour. Fresh and vibrant with layers of summer berry flavours complemented by hints of chocolate and spicy vanilla oak. Roodeberg is the result of skillful blending of red grape varieties and slow maturation in oak casks.
This deep, ruby-colored, concentrated red blend shows prominent aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, and dried herbs. On the palate Cinnamon, sweet
spice and ripe, juicy dark fruit together with a firm tannin structure, ensures good length and an enduring finish.
Maturation:
The wine was matured for 18 months in barrels, 70% new French oak.
Serving suggestion:
This wine can be enjoyed on its own or with a variety of flavourful meat dishes.
